From the Navigator's Log
KHUMPICK
where a small cat sergeant watches every ledger

A shipwreck reimagined as a bazaar. The hull tilts at an angle on a small sandy island, half-buried in gold sand. Tattered sails strung between the broken masts work as awnings now — saffron, orange, red. Market stalls laid across the deck, crates and treasure on the sand below, lanterns swinging from the rigging.
At the top of the wreck, perched on the captain's chair, a small orange cat in a sergeant's hat watches the horizon through a brass telescope. He's Khum — misses no discount in any of the four seas. The wreck is quiet right now while the navigator works other lanes, but the lanterns stay lit.
Will return when the merchant winds turn favourable again.
Coming Ashore
The bazaar is on quiet watch. Sergeant Khum’s next post will go up when the wind turns.
